CDC updates quarantine guidelines
\r\n
\r\n
Governor Hutchinson has announced that Arkansas is adopting the \r\nguidelines set forth by the CDC. These guidelines are effective immediately and are \r\napplicable to anyone currently on quarantine. \r\n Full guidance put out by the CDC. https://www.cdc.gov/coronaviru...
\r\n*The following two options only apply to those who have no symptoms.
\r\n
Quarantine can end after Day 10 (i.e. Return on Day 11) without testing and if no symptoms have been reported during daily monitoring.\r\n
Quarantine can end after Day 7 (i.e. Return on Day 8) if a close contact tests negative (“send-off” PCR preferred but rapid test acceptable) and if no symptoms were reported during daily monitoring. \r\n*The specimen may be collected no sooner than a full 5 days after exposure, but quarantine cannot be discontinued earlier than after Day 7.\r\n
If at any time someone in quarantine as a close contact develops symptoms of COVID-19, they should immediately isolate and get tested for COVID-19 (even if they previously had a negative test during this quarantine). \r\n
